Mixed up Saturday

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all relaxed and enjoying the weekend, we have some house 'Titivating' to do this weekend, we bought some pictures for the walls, we got a lovely metal sculpture type thing for above the fireplace and a huge canvas of a beautiful French street scene, it's gorgeous!  I also treated myself to a small framed Jack Vettriano picture, I absolutely love his work, I would love a large print but I am happy with my small one. I am hoping that we will put them all up this weekend.

Let's get on with your crafts......

Karen (Above) crocheted this absolutely adorable sheep called 'Simon' , I will add Karen's description below:

It’s one of Kerry Lord’s patterns from Edward’s Menagerie- “Simon” made with yarn that was on offer in Aldi Soooo cheap! £3.49 ish I have enough left to make at least another 5 or 6 He’ll probably go to Harefield Hospital.
He is a amazing Karen, thank you so much for sharing your sheep with us

Lynda

Lynda decided that she didn't like the cover that she had made contact her journal, although I think it was lovely.  Anyway this cover is a lot more detailed,
If you zoom in you can see all of the detail, including skeleton leaves that are mixed in with the paints.
The colours that are in the background are simply stunning and work perfectly with all of the embellisments too.

I am hoping that Lynda will give us a quick rundown on how to make this  jounal cover, today.

Have a love day xxx

Pat

Pat's  lovely card looks like it has taken her hours to create,  she made it at the 'Ally Pally' show on one of the Make and Take stands, "Lavinia Stamps" (I think).

I love  all of the colours that you have used to create the background Pat,  and the black silhouette stamps work beautifully.
Thank you much allowing me to share it

Cheryl

Cheryl made a few cards this week, the first two have the "Frozen" characters on, Cheryl experimented with some old ink pads to create the backgrounds for these two cards, she has cleverly added  some lovely colours into that background that match the Frozen collection perfectly ??

The Globe card was made using up leftover bits of  card, not that you could tell that by looking at it,  it's a perfect ''Man' card Cheryl, it would also work for somebody that is going traveling.

Thank you so much for taking part. XxX

That's all for this week's ladies, thank you so much to all of you for taking part.

Love and hugs

Sandra

I'm sure his secretary has been through his mail and made sure that urgent matters are on top of the pile. You really must feel angry. HUGS a plenty for you Dear Friend this morning.
Off on our weekly shop this morning and it's our 2 weekly meet up with Jim's Niece and her two children so we will be late getting back.

  2. Morning Ladies

Sounds like you’re going to be busy this weekend Sandra. I love sone of the artwork by Jack Vetriano- he did a lot of pictures of Southport. They’re all gorgeous.

Lovely pictures of some great crafty projects today.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes & beautiful cards I received yesterday. We had a delicious meal at lunchtime then got a message from my brother in law asking us if he could come over to Southport & take us out for a meal! Of course we had to say yes so we are out again. He came back for a drink then was going to call at the Casino to see if there was much happening.

I’m popping to Tesco soon then need to get some washing on plus a lot of dishes to wash. Hubby is playing a golf match this morning then we’re planning on visiting my Father in Law this afternoon.

  3. Morning ladies.
What a lot of gorgeousness this morning.
KAREN absolutely adore Simon. What a lot of patience you have but oh, how cute x

LYNDA the artwork on your journal is beautiful. So much detail.x

CHERYL your cards are really cute. Just love Frozen.

SANDRA. It sounds as though your lovely house is becoming a home with your pictures and ornaments. Just love Vetriano. I did have one of his paintings but it disappeared when I moved.

We had such a strong earth tremor yesterday afternoon. The whole house shook and I put my hands over my head expecting the ceiling to fall down. As frightening as it was just can't imagine how awful it must be for people caught in an earthquake.
Ironing and cleaning today but going to sit outside and drink my coffee first.
    Have a lovely weekend everyone.
    Love Valxxx

    2. Hi Lynda.
Fortunately we don't get many, this is only the third I've experienced in 20 years although stronger ones with structural damage have happened in other parts of Spain.
Have a good weekend whatever you're up to.x

  6. Good morning Sandra & Ladies
Thank you all for likeing my new cover. I used Pebeo paints Prisem,Fantasy, & moon. First used the Prisem in blue tones applied it just pored it on let it find it's own level by moveing book around once it was covered I dropped some red fantasy dropped in several places lastly the moon in yellow & just dropped that in a few places. It's fascinating to watch it all emerge & level out. While still a bit wet I laid some skellington leaves & some flowers small picture fram ( packet of six from £ shop ) cut down a picture I printed from computer. Added some embellishments. Let it dry over night added ribbon around the edges to tidy it up. Took me about hour & half. Very relaxing & enjoyable. I have now used most of the Pebeo paints Up I got from Margaret. But apparently they sell them in Hobbycraft.
We have lovely sunshine again not sure what we are upto just go with the flow.
I better get my dish washer gloves on 🤓Lol.
CU is still 💤💤 so better get a move on. HUGS for everyone
    Love Lynda xx

  9. Hi Sandra and ladies.
I simply love Simon Karen. Harefield will be lucky to have him.
Fab cards Cheryl. Love the two with the frozen theme, and wow what a great mans card using scraps of card to make the map.
We’ve been over Craig’s for dinner this afternoon. Went to Badbury Clumps afterwards to see all the bluebells. We walked quite a way round and Petes back is so bad he can’t move. His throat is also burning, not to sure why but it’s been like that in the evening for the last couple of weeks. He was supposed to put undercoat over the new plastering but doesn’t feel well enough to do it now.
